Went out hoping to get one final bird for the year and ended up with an unexpected mixed bag. Great way to end the season.

Setter is recovering from stitches from last weekend. I took out my other bird dog that spends most of her time duck hunting. A few good points on grey partridge today and one sparrow.

I love hunting huns. Possibly my favorite game bird

I like that ol' graybeard black lab. Handsome fella.

I can't believe he's 12 years old and still looks that good. He mostly heels on his own with me now. It's great because he's able to mark and retrieve the birds the dogs in the brush can't see.

Fine looking Labradors there, how old is the Blackie?

He's twelve now and slowing down. He gets a little stoved up but I can't leave him at home. He's mostly a sandbagger now who retrieves the birds the dogs in the bush flush. Smart dog.
