Finished off the year in the desert with a couple of ducks. Lots of deer, elk and antelope on the drive. Wishing all a happy new year!

Now on to retriever training until hunting season starts again in August.
One nice thing about retrievers is solo training with a few bumpers anywhere...a soccer field, the backyard, etc.
Ten minutes per dog per training session and huge advances in marks and blinds over a summer.

These are probably all posted here somewhere else but here's the round up of the girls from this season. Some grouse, ducks, pheasants, and deer. The deer tracks were a new experience that went wonderful

I had to have our big white Lab put down this summer and swore I wouldn't go through that again. Now, seeing your pictures has me re-thinking that decision.

There's a neighboring BMA there now? That must be new. Formerly the only BMA around with pheasant habitat was a ways north of town and it wasn't worth the drive. Too dry. You shoulda PMed me. I could have put you on some birds I'm sure. Takes some work though.
