Went to the reloading store for some 300 ultra brass and misc. stuff.

Dam near spent 350.00 and didnt even get any dies for new rifle!

Yes Melissa this is alot cheaper than buying factory amno:D
 
So...You got that Remington .300 RUM, eh?

I think you'll find it to be a good rifle. As I noted on the other thread, the two Model 700 LSS's that I've worked with were about the nicest "cheap" factory rifles I've ever handled.

The .300 RUM cartridge and the 200 grain Nosler Partition seem like the perfect match to me. Unfortunately, my buddie's .300 RUM could only group them to about 3" groups at 200 yards. It grouped 180s and 220s well, however.

Let us know how things go with the new stick.
 
Jason, It's like any other hobby you start. The start up costs are greater than the sustaining costs......Usually...

It will all balance out in the long run. You might also try flowers.... they help...
