I’ve only seen 5 bucks on this unit that would be older than 3 years old. I definitely would not want to commit to this area for deer based on what I’ve seen. Here’s a buck from this morning in a unit I do have a tag for. He’s a loooooong ways off but for a General season tag in Utah he’s definitely a good one.

I'd guess when they start rutting, you'll see some that are currently off and away from the bigger groups, that are a notch above the grouped up ones. Would sure be something to be hunting the rut there with a rifle. Good luck.

Another evening and morning. 63 bulls found. 15 of which should be over 300. The best one was this bull with 6 brow tines and devil points. I’d say 6 of these are opening day no brainer bulls for me!! One had down turned brow. Another had a goofy right main beam.

Had an afternoon to kill so I went down and found 7 bulls in the trees. These two bigger bulls were sparring for a good hour!!! I'm about 1500 yards away but you get the idea.

Cool to see all the bulls sizing each other up before the big dance!!!!

Scouting

One more scouting morning in the books. Saw 17 bulls. They are starting to make noise. Three of them were near cows raking trees and sniffing the air. 3 were shooters but too far to get a good pic.

This bull was very photogenic. He’s got decent length except for the thirds. Not much mass. This would be a last day or two for me.

Things are starting to get real!!!!
