I've been trying for 2 days to get some good shots of this buck. If anyone has some pointers for taking pics through a spotting scope I'm all ears. It looks like he's going to be a real nice buck. Sorry for the bad pics but you can get an idea of his frame

Looks like he's gonna be a wide one.

What is your set up? phone attached to spotter?

Play with the eye relief to reduce the vignetting. Use the spotter to focus. If you're trying to hold a phone up to the spotter, save yourself and just buy something like the phoneskope.

Looks like a good buck.

My best advise for digiscoping is leave your spotter on low power. Zoom with your camera & focus with the scope. A camera adapter is worth the few bucks and makes life easy.

Post up more pics soon.

It's just a compact digital camera I hold up to the spotting scope. I focus the spotter and try to get the camera lined up. I've had better luck doing it before. I'll try to find the right eye relief I'm probably just not steady enough. I think he is going to be a wide buck.

If you get that buck and don't won't the cape I'll buy it! That double throat patch is much like the one I left of the hill a few years back.
