I realized that too pretty quick. It was all speculation. Poor guy never saw it coming. Coulda been any of us! Sucks because only makes us more weary of strangers and less inviting at camp, home or otherwise. I miss how cheerful and inviting Montana used to be… Scary times.Hmm...Imagine that, it wasn't MS13 or Montana gang members or the cartel or an illegal immigrant. Just a plain old white skinhead.
When my buddy had to stash his baby between some portapottys at the billings fair from an active shooter, and then someone getting stabbed up at Walmart in Bozeman…. Yeah I keep the heaterSuch a strange and sad story. I have camped quite a few times without a pistol. Never again.
Any experience or facts to justify your point?Gang initiation. He definitely tossin some salads for the skinheads in prison. Not happy we pay taxes to support these filthy vermin.
My hunting buddy always says “It doesn’t pay to be nice!” Unfortunately he ends up being right most of the time. It does suckI realized that too pretty quick. It was all speculation. I have a cousin in his mid 20s that was camping in National Forest in Colorado this past summer in a fairly remote area. They were sitting by a camp fire around 10pm and had 3 guys walk into their camp with pistols. Took their wallets, phones, truck keys, guns and coolers. They had seen a truck drive back and forth a few times and they heard the truck park and doors slam about 300-400 yards down the road and didn't think anything of it. Figured they were setting up camp for the night and looking for a good spot. 15 min later the 3 guys walked into camp wearing masks and ordered them on the ground. They had guns also but were in the consoles of their trucks and rifles under the back seat. They left with everything and they could hear the truck start up and drive off.
They ended up hiking 3 miles to a cabin where they were lucky to find someone. They called sheriff and to this day nothing has been found or any leads or progress on investigation. Most definitely makes me think differently of camping and to be more vigilant to what is going on around you. They were busy talking and noticed the truck driving back and forth, but they were not paying close enough attention to provide a make or model.
parole or probation violation.Poor Butte. Why did he have to be arrested there? And why does it seem like every ne'er-do-well drifter, some of whom are apparently psychotic killers, land there at some point?
Any word on what the "unrelated charges" were on which he was arrested?
