Relying so heavily on NRs as a funding source is ludicrous. Pay your own way. MT hunters are the biggest welfare recipients in the nation... outside of Alaska.

I agree 100%, I was glad to see that increasing non res fees was NOT listed as an option nor should it have been IMO

Agree - it's not because the die hard hunters in Montana are unwilling to pay their own way it's because the politicians that make those decisions have no back bone - they are afraid they might lose a vote next election.

Agreed! I have said in comments many times MT residents have an obligation to pay a little more in license fees--- We have the lowest resident cost with some of the best opportunity versus other states. FWP can use an increase in funding as well. The problem is a small bunch of "very vocal people" that scream over any increase in anything.
