Yeti GOBOX Collection

Fun day!

I don’t miss that stuff in the least. It used to infuriate me watching happen in the Army. Most of the time it was who you know / blow vs what you actually know.
It definitely gets old quick. I could start at a new company next week if I wanted to. I don't want to switch. So I'll give them some time to make it right.

15 years ago I walked from my dream job. Never a regret. They offered me $12k and I said see ya.
No path to promotion when you point out flaws to Admin. and they then eat lawsuits for bad planning/damages.
Those project managers who never finished wiping yet...
Over $20 million in very profitable work for me this year. Then somehow was passed by someone with significantly less experience, and only about $6mil in work this year.

When you go, go big. I drove for Ringsby United many years ago. The lease owner would start every conversation with a threat. I left his truck at the airport in Salt Lake, flew home and didn't say a word. He was a bit upset.
I was replacing a deck beam on the Sierra cabin for the ex, as I said I would. A fellow board member of the NFHA drove up. He had heard I was quiting the board and moving. We had a long chat.
Nice guy. Worked for the AG's office, in DC.

The next year the AG's office went after members of the County Admin and staff. Most quit under indictment. My super faced felony indictment for embezzling, with several others.

I got another 3% COLA last year in my pension. I had negotiated a good MOU.
If you can't join them, leave them. With dignity. And a clean record.

I just love the new kids fresh out of college that come in and tell me how to do my job that I've been doing for 20+ years. Anymore I just laugh at em and say yeah ok.

When I was about 18 & working for my father I was this kid.

After my 43 brilliant idea he looked at me and said "I've been doing this for 20 years. If there's a better $*)Q!#@$ way, don't you think I would have found it?"

He had a way with words.
