Huntman, Yes I shot that deer on the same trip. Nice thing about a fall hunt is being able to hunt both. I wouldn't mind going back to Kodiak just to hunt deer. Got him on Halloween and was actually exploring some new territory a couple days later for deer when we ran into that bear. Ashersdad, Jake is an awesome guide and quite a character as well. Never a dull moment for sure. You only live maybe half an hour away from me so anytime you want to come over and see the mount as well as discuss hunting Kodiak give me a call. I have been "promised" a brown bear hunt, but doubt that will every happen. BUT, if it does I'd be happy with that bear's little brother.

Hope to hunt Kodiak or the coast near Cordova someday. Hunted the interior in '03 on a combo hunt, and will be back.
