Just got back from the big Harley 100th bash. They kept the last night main acts a secret. The doobies opened, o.k.. then Tim Magraw came out(spelling) and we were all like what the fugggg is this crap? Then Kid rock came out and did 4 songs with tims band and the crown loved it. Then Dan Akroyd does his MC bit and the main act and big mystery act is revealed!! Elton john..... Now i dont have anything against his music but when your at the party of the century and they say a huge rock act is coming out everyone said they expected U2 or the stones but a Gay Englishman didnt go over too well. So there i was in the middle of 150,000 bikers and when Elton came on everyone was like "is this a joke?" After 4 songs i was with about 100,000 other fans walking out of the park. What a let down. I bet Elton never played a concert that half the crowd walked out on him before. What i would have given to see the stones or Skynard play. Someone in Harley's entertainment dept should get lynched......
Oh well, afterwards i walked the streets of milwaukee and watched the bikes and boobs flash by and was glad to be a part of it all, Elton or not. Here to the next 100 years.
