Up for sale is a like new Sako 75 Finnlight .243. I bought it for my son to use in his early years. He shot a deer with it and it's been sitting in the safe ever since. He got the itch to get a bigger caliber. Probably only been shot 30-40 times. These are some very sleek, lightweight guns with incredible action smoothness and quality throughout. I'd love to keep it but why, when it never gets used? I'd rather see it go to someone who would use it. I will also include the 1" Conetrol bases (already installed) and rings in the sale. $950 + shipping (avg. shipping seems to be about $40-$50).

Bighorn, back in 1970 I lived in Monument for a short time while working at the Academy, and was wondering if they still have the highschool rodeo's in that arena out near the east edge of town, or is it like most of front range CO and swallowed up all vestiges of the small town flavor that was Monument?

There's a good question. I moved here in 1993 but have lived in CO all my life - seen exactly what you described all over the place but Monument is still a great place with a very small town feel to it. We have a great 4th of July event every year and that's one thing that pulls our community together. Great place to live and raise kids. Never knew there were rodeo's there - there's now 2 high schools but rodeo went out a long time ago I think. Sad but true.
