For me, volume of sales does not equate to “greatness”

Agreed Garth has way higher sales but George Strait is the king of country.

Don Williams is a great one. Two other country singers that I haven’t seen anyone mention are Earl Thomas Conley and Vern Gosdin.

I agree. Not a big fan of Michael but he certainly made his mark on the music world.

Yessir! The Fillmore East album is in my opinion the best album of all time, absolute peak of their powers.

For them to lay that down in their early 20’s, live no less, was incredible.
