Right? Im trying to negotiate 2@SFC B is out of pocket, I think, but when we talked last weekend the sale was still on.
Me walking into Scheels on the 15th:
So, my logic is that I'd be halfway to a good .22 rimfire suppressor with the $200 I'm saving. I'd be saving another $200 on that by not having to pay for that tax stamp... so why not buy a 5.56 flow-through setup, too?Right? Im trying to negotiate 2
Decent selection of the big brands:Ya, but what can will you get? I don’t even know what Scheel’s stocks.

I spoke w local sales guy in store here....has to be centerfire and has to be $600 or more for the promo to apply. Is this real?? I mean they have a .22LR surpressor for 299.00 so there would be no extra stamp fee on my cost?
I've been looking/thinking about one of those as well.I'm probably going to try to grab a nomad Ti XC if they are in stock locally. MN hosers, hands off!
What will you be mounting it on? Heard great things about both, but Scythes have a reputation for coming apart when mounted in a short barreled magnum.OK, so I'm thinking 30cal suppressor... grab and go during the sale so might as well go Ti
I have a rifle that's already threaded 1/2-28.
Local Scheels has Silencerco Scythe Ti and DeadAir Nomad Ti XC...price is the same.
Pros / cons of one vs the other?
Anecdotally, the Nomad won't detach at the second weld and launch itself 50 yard down rage. The Scythe, however...OK, so I'm thinking 30cal suppressor... grab and go during the sale so might as well go Ti

Sucks for us Wyoming guysYep...has to be at a store in the state where you live. The sale is March 15 through the 23rd I believe....just got given the heads up on this the other day.
6.5 manbun...currently at 22" threaded. What will you be mounting it on? Heard great things about both, but Scythes have a reputation for coming apart when mounted in a short barreled magnum.
Scythe have that issue on short barrel magnums only or across the board?Anecdotally, the Nomad won't detach at the second weld and launch itself 50 yard down rage. The Scythe, however...
I put an original Nomad on a 6.5 Creed and will soon be running it on a .25-7PRC. Been pretty pleased with it so far but I haven't shot enough suppressors to truly appreciate the difference.
In Nampa? Ferris wheels and kiddy rides.Ya, but what can will you get? I don’t even know what Scheel’s stocks.
Scythe is a little shorter and lighter. Likely reduces recoil a bit more in factory config with single port brake. Has had a number of reports of not standing up to shorter barreled magnums. Mine is probably close to 1k rounds split between a 18" 6 creed and a 24" 6.5 creed. No issue.OK, so I'm thinking 30cal suppressor... grab and go during the sale so might as well go Ti

I've been looking/thinking about one of those as well.
But I also have a homie, who has a homie, who has a homie (one of those type things) who's involved with developing a can for a company in North Idaho. I like the theory of it, but want to see how it works out.
TLDR: I only want to spend the money on one more can. Hit the sale or hold out? I dunno.
If they get it right, and that’s a big IF, it will be really RIIIIGHT for a hunting can.If it’s a certain 8" over the barrel model with 4" in front of the barrel, that one seems intriguing too. I've heard a prototype was pretty loud so I'm not crazy excited about it. The intriguing application for me would be on something like a Dasher so I could get a couple extra inches of barrel length for more MV and be at same overall length as a shorter barrel with 6" can and also not have much for powder/gas to suppress.
