So, my logic is that I'd be halfway to a good .22 rimfire suppressor with the $200 I'm saving. I'd be saving another $200 on that by not having to pay for that tax stamp... so why not buy a 5.56 flow-through setup, too?

I'm probably going to try to grab a nomad Ti XC if they are in stock locally. MN hosers, hands off!
I spoke w local sales guy in store here....has to be centerfire and has to be $600 or more for the promo to apply.
Sounds like they can special order in if not in stock

I've been looking/thinking about one of those as well.
But I also have a homie, who has a homie, who has a homie (one of those type things) who's involved with developing a can for a company in North Idaho. I like the theory of it, but want to see how it works out.
TLDR: I only want to spend the money on one more can. Hit the sale or hold out? I dunno.

What will you be mounting it on? Heard great things about both, but Scythes have a reputation for coming apart when mounted in a short barreled magnum.

Anecdotally, the Nomad won't detach at the second weld and launch itself 50 yard down rage. The Scythe, however...
I put an original Nomad on a 6.5 Creed and will soon be running it on a .25-7PRC. Been pretty pleased with it so far but I haven't shot enough suppressors to truly appreciate the difference.

6.5 manbun...currently at 22" threaded.
My plan is a lightweight, suppressed rifle that could be good for deer, antelope etc and also be an option for my daughters to shoot as they grow into it.
Just started them on. 22lr at the range this weekend and we all had a blast.
Scythe have that issue on short barrel magnums only or across the board?
they both seem very similar, just holding them side by side in store the scythe has the feel of being little lighter...but I'm not sure if that's supported by manufacturers listed weights etc

Scythe is a little shorter and lighter. Likely reduces recoil a bit more in factory config with single port brake. Has had a number of reports of not standing up to shorter barreled magnums. Mine is probably close to 1k rounds split between a 18" 6 creed and a 24" 6.5 creed. No issue.
Nomad Ti XC will be a little quieter. Maybe more reliable with larger cartridges? I dont know that there are as many out there as there are Scythes. You can add ebrake or other aftermarket brakes at the end of them for more recoil reduction.
Just based on being quieter and possibly more durable, the XC will likely be my next can. Already have 1 scythe if I want the weight/length savings for hunting. I do kind of want the L XC version though and not sure Scheels carries them? I only see the standard length one listed.

If its a certain 8" over the barrel model with 4" in front of the barrel, that one seems intriguing too. I've heard a prototype was pretty loud so I'm not crazy excited about it. The intriguing application for me would be on something like a Dasher so I could get a couple extra inches of barrel length for more MV and be at same overall length as a shorter barrel with 6" can and also not have much for powder/gas to suppress.

If they get it right, and that’s a big IF, it will be really RIIIIGHT for a hunting can.
Just not sure if I want to wait to see if the theory can be put into application.
