Clearly not
Well I'm glad you figured out what it was then.

Scarry to think how closely those resemble dummy rounds used for training maintain consistent control on target.

We use dummy rounds for qualification/training. Stack them in with live rounds and people are able to ID if they're anticipating the live round recoil or smooth on target shooting.

Hadn't seen those before. Thankfully not used in simuniton training though good to know something so similar exists that are otherwise expected as inert.

Any issues with cleaning that stuff out of the bore?
doesn't end up in the barrel in my case. I would bet Sweets would get anything in the bore if it does. There's a homemade solvent called Ed's Red that is known to dissolve plastic in shotgun bores that would definitely work but haven't needed it. In my case those cast bullets aren't pushed real hard which would be a large cause of the powdercoat getting stripped off. I am going to try a thinner product because the large meplat of those bullets leaves little clearance if I goof on the coating.
