Football General Talk

The last fail was a credit to strong defense - not necessarily on Darnold. The first three stops inside the 10 were on Darnold overthrowing open receivers (and decent defense).

I don’t know how they are 14-2 with the way he is playing tonight. The pressure from the defense has him scrambling to ditch the ball.

KOC has adjusted poorly. Runs, check-downs, and the occasional sit in the pocket all day for his QB. Meanwhile, Addison and JJ up against 2nd and 3rd string corners.

Detroit looks pretty good out there…not Super Bowl good…put up against a team that had their act to together and they’ll lose solidly.

MN lost to themselves today.

Yeah. How many games do we see every year where a team repeatedly fails to score in the red zone in the first half but stays close with good D and then get killed in the second half. They needed points on all those failed drives inside the 30. Darnold was hideous, Richert looks like a D3 college kicker and the Lions wear down the D for blow out in the end.

On the bright side, this probably keeps the. From handing Darnold $45 million a year next year.

Not super bowl good? You gotta be kidding.

I look better than any other team playing today by a long shot.

Our son in law (huge Vikings fan) wonders if there will ever be a DPI called against the Lions.

Darnold looking like an old Darnold who wore Jets green/white uniform.

That was an exciting game.

I did notice. The Lions put a look of fear in Darnold's face.

I see them facing each other again.

I would like to see someone besides the Chiefs on the AFC side. Not sure who can do it?

Would be neat to see something like Texans or Chargers (not likely) make the Super Bowl. And Vikings, Lions or possibly Commanders on the other side.

Why?

McCarthy has been stable everywhere he goes. I think he gets teams to a point and then can’t get them any further over the cusp. The bears have a long ways to go up before before they are at that point
