My opinion: the frustration amongst coaches has much more to do with the ability of players to easily transfer out of their program than it doesn’t the players getting paid.
Why should that be a frustration for them when coaches have been able to do that forever?

Because it makes their job harder.

I’m in agreement with your point though- they’ve been able to bounce with virtually zero repercussions, leaving the kids on the team high and dry, for years.
