Football General Talk

College Game Day is coming to Bozeman next week for The Brawl of the Wild. Who you got Cats or Griz?
Griz. We let the kitty cats win a good stretch sometimes, other times short lived. Gotta keep their candle lit enough to keep this - The Brawl Of The Wild going... Put out the kitty candles too often, they may turn their football field into a litter box.

Anytime there is a team that has not had regular success for a long time but puts something together...I get psyched.
Still rooting for Bills,....but how about Cousins/ Vikings?
Same goes for Jets. Cowboys, Miami,
Who did I miss?

No panic here. I was nervous about this game. Here we go. mtmuley
The ‘boys have a good team. The packers played the best game they have played all year. Still wasn’t a complete game as they took the 2nd and 3rd quarters off giving the Cowboys 21 unanswered points.

I don’t watch the Cowboys often and I’m not a fan by any stretch of the imagination, but after some of the decision making by coaches and errors that can’t be made in big moments by some players. Mike McCarthy will not get it done in big games (us packers fans already knew that) and Dak Prescott will not/is not an elite Qb. Now cd lamb did big time player things and the running back Pollard looks like he could too.

I'd call that an honest assessment. Yesterday, during the game, I mentioned to my wife that Prescott would keep the Packers in the game. He is not very accurate with his passes.

Mike McCarthy wasted Aaron Roger's prime years in Green Bay, I don't see how he does better with a less talented QB.

I don't get the McCarthy hate. He successfully managed a prima donna quarterback. More than can be said for anyone that came after him. McCarthy might be the only guy on the Cowboys that I actually like.

What I find interesting, GB finally won by playing Rodgers LESS. He cut his passing attempts in half and they won. I suspect someone put the screws to him about what plays were going to be called and actually run.

At this point in Rodgers career no one, especially a 38 year old coach, is going to tell him what to do. They aren’t going to bench him. They might trade him, but that’s what he probably wants and wishes would have happened.

One point in the 4th when they went 3 and out with less than a minute to go Rodgers walked straight to Lafluer and it didn’t take a professional lip reader to see what he was saying.

Trade him to Indianapolis then. Be a good place for him to exhibit his greatness.

But seriously, I have been wondering if Rodgers isn't calling most of the plays on the line - until last night. If so, I wonder how they finally managed to put the screws to him?

I hope if they do trade him he ends up in Minnesota. It’ll be great to listen to the complete 180 by Vikings fans. It wouldn’t be the first time they had to do that with a packers Qb.

I loved having Favre. Not so much with Rodgers. Favre wasnt the prima donna Rodgers is, not by a long shot. Were it not for Bounty Gate (why to people revere Sean Payton?), I think the Vikes had their best shot of winning the SB.
