As long as you go to the shipper and you are the one who signs for the receipts, you can ship firearms to yourself without going through a ffl. There is no transfer so an ffl is not required. People do it flying to Alaska on hunting trips. The key is that nobody else can open your package other than yourself. The link below is from the atf website explaining this.

There have been some correct answers on here and some incorrect answers. For your protection you ABSOLUTELY should rely on and do what your in-state FFL tells you to do. Not what we tell you to do. It won’t be any of us going to jail, after all. FULL STOP.

You cannot legally buy a handgun outside of your state of residence so a Seattle FFL will not be able to transfer them.

OP, there's a lot of misinformation in this thread. It also doesn't matter if the rifles are sold/gifted/inherited; they are being "transfered" and the "transfer" is crossing state lines so it needs to be through an FFL. Your right to ever even possess a gun again will be stripped if you get hemmed up for a felony. At a minimum, contact an FFL. Call the BATF as well; however, they may not be much help in regards to the screwy state laws in WA.

I did end up saying to contact an FF dealer in WA. He would take title to the guns as necessary and ship them to a dealer in Wisconsin who would the transfer title to the OP I would guess. So probably double transfer fees plus shipping?

You can also ship a firearm without an FFL if it is for repair, but try telling that to some of the doofi/dufusses at UPS.
