Fishing brands you stand by?

At the risk of sounding like a complete snob:
Sage rods.
Lamson and Abel reels.
Simms waders and boots.
I can’t tie to save my life and I like Montana Fly Company patterns.

All that fancy stuff is still a hell of a lot cheaper than a walleye boat.
The boat is merely a Y-intercept with a medium slope.

TFO fly rods
powerbait
rapala
Redhead waders and wading sandals
Walmart fishing section and sunglasses
Busch light
coleman cooler
shakespeare rods
shimano reels
the 4# test line at sportsman's warehouse
mepps spinners
eagle claw hooks

Depends on what im fishing for... for lakes around home, I've had great luck with Okuma and Pflueger reels. My kids break too many rods to spend much more on anything but Scheels rebranded rods. Baits are typically Rapala or homemade bottom bouncers and spinners.

When I'm fishing great lakes salmon and trout, then I'm using a lot of Salmon Candy flasher/flies, Okuma rods/reels, and Cannon downriggers. Moonshine, Yeck, and Pro King for spoons. I'm planning on experimenting with more stickbaits this year.

Even with the finest tackle money can buy, fishing is relatively cheap until you throw a motor in the mix.

I can't for the life of me figure out why every Claw drinker in Montana has this on the back of their window and decked in the Salt Life gear.

There isn't a God damn ocean for almost 1200 miles..... and more like 2k for some warm water. Wtf.

Orvis

Sage

Simms

First spinning reel was a Zebco 202. Eventually I was able to upgrade to the (Zebco) 404 model.
