Fishing around FT Worth?

Spring break we are visiting my sister in FT Worth. Have a day or 2 to explore and have fun. I was thinking about trying some fishing. Catfish guided is $500 a day, but was thinking about maybe bass fishing from the bank?

Any one have any pointers or thoughts? Any place to rent gear? Or anyone in the area willing to take some one out for an afternoon?

Check out Jon B on YouTube he is a fort worth based angler and makes local videos from time to time. Maybe you can determine some good spots that way.

Used to be a place if on lake Granbury I believe that would rent kayaks and there was bank fishing as well. It's been 10 years and I can't remember the name though.

Daughter and SIL live locally and they do decent from the banks on Lake Lewisville.
