This weekend was one of my proudest moments as a father and a hunter. My son, who has been so essential in my fight with ptsd, tagged his first "big game." In Arizona javelina are considered big game, although I think my dog is bigger. Anyway, other than dove, quail and rabbit this was his first filled big tag. He used a muzzleloader and dropped his pig at 76 yards, right in its tracks.
The look on his face was priceless. The excitement he had will never be forgotten! I am truly blessed to have such a forgiving, understanding and loving son!
