What are your favorite wild game meals that freeze very well? I like being able to simmer prepared game meals in a vac seal bag in camp for an easy dinner. Sometimes I'll have access to a full kitchen but I never feel like cooking after a day afield- but good to be able to put something in the oven. Or just having food for later at home.

I'll start with a few of my favorites... for venison:
Chili (ground)
American Goulash (ground venison) https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/275489/chef-johns-american-goulash/
Hank Shaw's barbacoa recipe (slow cooked shoulder/neck, etc)
Mississippi Roast (slow cooked shoulder/neck, etc)

For upland/small game:
Hank Shaw's Carnitas
Enchiladas- can be prepared before and baked later in a pan, or baked first then put in vac seal bags
Pot Pies
Pheasant Soup (Hank shaw has a good recipe but the noodles don't freeze all that well)

Chili as well. I make it in large batches then freeze it in smaller portions.
I cook it without any beans. Then if someone wants beans I just add the beans.
I find it very useful to have on hand. From a bowl of chili to topping for Hot dogs , sausage or quaso dips.
I also cook down whole whitetail shoulders into bags of taco and bbq meat. Pretty handy for a quick meal. I hate boning out shoulders.

Venison Lasagna, Shank Carnitas, Chili, Venison Taco Meat, Baked Mac N Cheese w/ ground venison.

Before trips, I make a lot of these for dinner then just vacuum seal and freeze. Then I place sealed bag in boiling water for 10 minutes and it’s ready to go.
