Hey, I know im a bit late to the party, but would you mind giving some specifics on your H1000 loads? Im working on the exact same thing and just cant get a nice group. OAL, load, etc... would appreciate it! TIA!I use 180 grain Barnes TTSX. I developed decent loads with both H1000 and H4831. With all copper you can step down a weight class. Would have similar retained weights but get more velocity and flatter trajectory. It just depends what you are after. I’ve had success with Hornady GMX (old version of CX) in my 270. I haven’t tried the hammers.
I’ll pm you some info. Traveling for work this week but will let you know when U get home and can look at my loading log.Hey, I know im a bit late to the party, but would you mind giving some specifics on your H1000 loads? 2 things to consider. First some rifles don’t shoot mono bullets well if barrel is fowled with cup and core or other guilted metals. My 270 I need to clean the bore if I’ve shot other bullets before shooting monos.
Second I’ve generally had better luck seating the monolithic bullets a little deeper than I would with a lead core bullet.
I’ll admit I am far from the most knowledgeable on reloading. I know a fair bit but there are plenty of others on this forum and other places who know more.
