Father/Son Axis Hunt

Spent the past few days hunting Axis in Tennessee with my son. With the heat and a storm front to deal with, they were a bit elusive, which added to the fun. I was proud of my son. He was very patient and made a heck of a shot - 204 yards off the sticks. Great time!

Both animals are dandy trophies. 204 yards is a long shot to be proud of for sure. I visited the Brady Ranch in central Florida a few years back for a photo safari and we observed dozens of axis deer. But cost factors for a hunt were too expensive for me.

I always enjoy seeing the Father/Son pictures. Dad, you are creating memories to last a lifetime for your sun. Good job!
