I've sledded in that area. The Park boundry is clearly marked. They need to to respect the rules. Plenty of areas to sled without going in the Park. Assclowns are just shooting themselves in the foot as well as those who recreate legally. Good job with the enforcement.

Same here. There is plenty of good riding without getting witin 10 miles of the park. Good for the LEO's for nailing these jackasses.

ILLEGAL SNOWMOBILING
Feb 24, 2005

The government is stepping up patrols along the western boundary of Yellowstone National Park to catch those illegally entering by snowmobile. Rangers say it's a growing problem.

Over three days, 17 people were arrested for illegally snowmobiling in Yellowstone. During patrols, dozens of other snowmobilers were stopped and prevented from illegally entering the park. Rangers say there are fluorescent orange boundary markers and placards that clearly identify the park boundary.

The offenders appeared before a U.S. magistrate judge and paid a $500 fine. One man, 48-year-old Brian C. Olsen from Idaho Falls, was cited one day then caught again for illegally entering again the following day. Olsen pled guilty and spent one night in jail and will pay a $1,200 fine.
What a dumbass!
