As even more proof of America's intelligence, Farenheit 9/11 continues to shatter box office records. Now topping over $60 million and headed toward $100 million...

And here is a great picture of our "wartime" President, after he was told the second plane had hit the WTC. Luckily, for wisdom, he was able to turn to My Pet Goat

You communist.
Misinformation is only a good thing when Rush Limbaugh is spoon feeding it.

I just wish they both would go away.

So, do you want us to assume your intelligence? ;)

If "America' was so intelligent it would realize that this film doesn`t even fit the definition of a "documentery"

Hey CJ,
How did Disney's "Heart and Soul" do this weekend at the box office??? That was the "documentary" that Disney released, after Dubya pressured Jeb to take away the Tax Breaks in Florida....

Whitedeer,
My guess is, based on your post, the "mindless" are staying lock-step with Dubya...

Hey Tom,
Aren't you impressed by the American public that they would spend $7 + Popcorn to learn something at a movie, instead of just watching Demi Moore parade around in a swimsuit??? (OK, bad example, we would all be better off for more Demi in swimsuits....)

Hey Elkgummer
Time to spit out Micheal Moores left nut and switch to his right , you've been working the left for awhile now , it's probably gettin sore !

Again ;
Can you please explain how we are to become educated or enlightened by watching a one-sided propaganda film written by a hate-filled , radical , extremist , anti-American , twelve-sandwich eating fat slob like Micheal Moore ?

Hey HasBeen,
I would guess that having our electorate discuss issues raised/countered/argued/dismissed/etc... would be an educational and enlightening process. Why you would be against an open discussion of relevant topics that harkens back to the days of Free Speech in the City Park is beyond me.

My guess is you would prefer a Stalin/Saddam type of governement here, where discussing the ills of the President/Ruler is prohibited. There are plenty of places around the world where Freedom of Thought is not allowed, have you looked into moving companies?

Elk ,
Exactly ! I dream of a day when we can 'discuss' issues in the city park again .
Micheal Moores film is an attack on the president in a time of war ! It is a divisive , partisan , extremist propaganda film !

It completely exemplifies the extremism that shuts down positive debate .

I don't give a shit who the president is...Bush , Kerry , Hillary , Reagan , Nader or Stalin!!! I would not support any malcontent loser like Micheal Moore attacking them.

Ben,
Don't give Moore more credit than he deserves for his film. It is a simply a documentary with a Point of View (as all documentaries have). And now 10 million Americans have gone and seen the movie, and can now discuss it.

I don't agree with 100% of the movie, and as a good Republican, I take offense at some of his comments. But, I am glad he was able to make his movie and circumvent the Dubya/Jeb pressure to censor the movie completely, and get the film shown.

I am not sure why we think the local Bijou should be A-political and not point out anything partisan. We have had politics in movies forever, and just because you saw the movie it does not make the story true. Look at Finding Nemo....

As even more proof of America's intelligence
Actually this is proof of two things, none of them have to do with intelligence.

First it proves that activist democrats who hate Bush have a medium to justify their hatred.

Second, like the Passion this goes to show you that when you (the right in this case) protest a film you create an interest.

The people who are seeing this film are the Dem base and rubber neckers who enjoy a good wreck.

I wonder how many minds are actually being changed by this film?
My guess is none.

Fecl,

YOu are probably right on both of your assertations. Moore could not have bought better publicity than what the looney right-wing nuts gave him. From Dubya/Jeb's lame attempts at stopping the release, to the goof balls trying to get the rating upped, to the even bigger goofballs trying to get it ruled a campaign advertisment.

Moore played those simpletons like a fiddle, and generated a ton of Buzz.

Some of the "exit interviews" are showing a large amount of Republicans and Dubya supporters seeing the movie. Doubtful it changes their minds, but I would also guess the Middle of the Roaders are having a bit of discussion as they leave the theater....

I still think it is interesting that 10 days after the film was released, nobody else has seen the 2nd most popular movie in America, but yet plenty are ready to diss it....

Elkgunner ,
As a father of three boys ages 5,6 & 9 years old I have to put my foot down here ; Spongebob Squarepants is fair game , but Nemo , thats sacred !

Moore is a fraud and if Sportsman and Gun owners had seen "Bowling for Columbine" they would see he is a antagoniser and contradicts himself several times in this" Documentry". But I believe Everyone has the right to speak what the want and how they feel on issues, That is what seperates us from the communists and makes this a wonderful country to live and defend, and no I was not able to serve in the military to defend but make no mistake if the fight was brought to our soil I'd be ready and waiting in my mossy oak and 7 mag perched in nearest pine!
I Bleed red, white, and blue but respect Freedom of Speech!

Box Office Records huh.....The funny thing is he released it when there was nothing worth competing with it in the box office. Now that Spiderman 2 is out, we'll see how good it does.

By the way, just a little fact for you to think about, Legally Blonde 2 did better in the box office....both opening weekened and through its second week.......than Farenheit 9/11.......

TUFF

Man Ben...can't let my daughters see this post ;) since your just over the hill from me in quarter-town...my girls are 5, 6, and 10

....NEMO RULES!

I find it amazing how so many people get antagonistic from someone telling/showing a different idea/point of view. I guess my liberal arts education desensitized me a bit to the 'danger' of differing ideas and opinions.

I have yet to see the film, but will. I will just for the change in perspective and the entertainment value. You have to admit that even if taken out of context, the 'Watch this drive' scene is pretty funny.

1-Ptr,
It is amazing how many people have opinions on Moore, without seeing his movies. And even funnier, most of those opinions likely came through the MEDIA!!!

The funny thing about the "Watch this dive" scene is that it was not taken out of context.

Moore was on Charlie Rose last night, and he continues to tear into the Media for their lack deriliction of duty. He brings up the point that the Press is asking him harder questions than they asked Dubya prior to Iraq.

Tuff,
Glad to see you were impressed with Legally Blonde 2....

IdahoCritter,
Didn't you find anything funny in Bowling for Columbine??? What about the scene in the bank in Michigan with the guns??? Or when he tries to return Ammunition to K-Mart???

Moore may contradict himself several times in 9/11, not sure which ones you are referring to, but as he makes 100 charges, I am sure some are a bit contradictory. It is funny that nobody has really taken him to task on the "Facts", but merely on his Opinion on the facts.

The movie continues to play to large crowds.... And they have announced a September DVD date....
