Fall Salmon on the Oregon Coast....

My son talked me into taking an evening off archery hunting for elk to catch a few fish. Pretty good trip! 3 1/2 hours, 10 bites and 5 landed to get a limit of 4. One wild coho had to be released but luckily the second coho was fin clipped. Chinook can be either and I got one of each.


I blew a chance at a 5 point Roosevelt bull and a 200+ pound black bear this morning so it felt good to have success fishing!

Back to hunting in the morning....

Congrats on some nice looking fish. You are half way to a Northwestern Sportsman "Surf and Turf". Good luck with your pursuit of those elk steaks to finish the meal. Hoping to get over to buoy 10 before my elk season opens up.
