Now that our moose are bagged Dad and I hit up the Blackfoot River on Saturday. It was way more mossy than I ever remember it being for this time of year which made things a little difficult, but this cutthroat made the trip well worth it. He taped out at 19" and was so fat I couldn't wrap my hands all the way around it. Its teeth were also large and sharp enough to cut my thumb; haven't had a trout do that in a while.

I thought about it briefly, but cutts are having a tough go of it these days. Right after I snapped the photo he flipped back in the water and swam away.
