elusive walleye

I have been struggling this year. So far ive been getting small walleyes and sauger ( saugers are good to) but the bigger walleyes have been beating me. I will be on the Mississippi this weekend to give it another go. I think trolling is going to be the ticket. hopefully be on the water at 5 am friday morning. Bring on a limit of walleye.

Good luck! My father and I headed out last weekend in search of the walleye, I caught 63 and he caught 37, it was quite possibly the best day i'm fishing I have ever had. We only kept 4 for a snack and it was sure tasty.

Casting #5 shad raps, #7 Shallow shad raps, and lipless cranks, like rattln raps has put the biggest fish in the boat for me this year. 2-8' water. Numbers easily jig and paddletail like Pulse-R. Good luck! Headed to SD walleye fishn myself for a solid week!

Dont have much to brag about. Did some trolling and jigging with only a few short walleyes to show for it. I will tell you that if you like sheaphead they are on fire right now.
