Started a bit rough as I had forgot my key on killing my starting battery. Stole one of my trolling motor batteries to run the boat with so that eliminates use of the trolling motor and spot lock. Started out on an underwater point that drops to the main lake basin. Started along the edge in 12’ of water and caught a couple pike. I then slid up top having suspicion the walleye would be shallow with the smoke. The last couple days the sun has been orange so I figured they might be up shallow feeding heavy in the warm water. Well sure enough my suspicion was correct. The point was about 8-9’ deep and there was two rock piles up top that came up to about 5’. So I trolled over around and from rock pile to rock pile and hammered then. They were super aggressive. I was using a shallow diving size 12 rapala and most of the fish had all three hooks in them.
