elk season

I had my training regimen all planned for this summer. Start with 2 mile a day and work up to 4 miles a day, adding weight as I went.

Life is not fair. Went for my semi annual dermatology appointment. Burned off all the precancerous lesions. He checked my chest and back and looked fine.
I had a mole that I was feeling lately and convinced him to remove. Biopsy. Melanoma. Shook the world.

Cut it out and biopsy was great. No melanoma in any of the samples and most important in the lymph nodes.

I was prepared to hunt this damn hunt on chemo, but am now just waiting for the incisions to heal and start hiking.

The melanoma was over my ribs. My ribs never see the light of day and are as white as my buttocks.

Do not take any thing for granted.

No Sentinal Node involvement....sounds like they caught it early. Great PSA man.....areas where clothing (PACKS!!!) rub can cause irritation just like sun exposure....and can cause lesions to grow. Get em checked Hunt-Talkers!!! Ive had a few cut off....and will agin.

Can't wait. Really hot here and looking like it may dry up this summer. Spent last night studying google earth looking at elk spots

I didnt go last year because I told myself I couldnt unless my house was done. In March it was looking iffy so I didnt apply with my group. Might have gone had they got the archery season. They didn't. And I got my occupancy permit issued 9/1/2016. Still had to paint inside though. Took 3 years total. Tore 1 house down and built new from the ground up. I did the framing, plumbing, electrical, windows and doors, fiber cement siding and a standing seam roof...after my regular job. Only thing I hired out was insulation, drywall, granite counters and floors. Had a hickory that died on me and my neighbor had one come down that she let me have. 4" and 6" natural hickory floors...from my own trees. Looks awesome and beats turning it into firewood....especially when I dont have a fireplace. If anyone ever has a chance to go with a tankless water heater....DO IT

As my name states,I am a Plumber and a contractor and will tell you those insta-heats (tankless water heaters) are outstanding. Unfortunately like most of our technology here, they have been used in Europe for over a decade. We are very slow to adapt here.
