Horn hunter full curl. Awesome pack and very convertible for one day or 7. Love the thing!

Cabelas has a more than adequate Alaskan external frame pack for about $150.
This! Packs and boots are two things I spend the money to get what I want and need!If you are shopping for next season, hold back $20/week and you will have plenty for a top of the line pack for next fall. Buy once. I wish I would have, but used packs do make decent gifts.
I like my Eberlestock X2
It's actually pretty simple, the cheaper you are the tougher you have to be.

I agree I have both an eberlestock x1 as well as a eberlestock Team Elk RMEF edition pack and would say the team elk one is defiantly the way to go for hauling elk out but the x1 does a great job too.I like my Eberlestock X2
You can get a great deal on an ILBE any number of places.
It is a good pack
ILBE's kick butt. Its what I run when doing a multi day trip. Best pack for the money IMO.

Just saw a used one for about 75 on Amazon...as much as I like mine, that is a great deal.
