Elk migrating by Elk Mountain. I have seen this a few times on the western slope of Wyoming when I traveled around the state.

+1 Buzz.....just moving across the road. they moved/get pushed back and forth all winter. i had a tag one year and caught a good bull on the right side of the road.

A seasonal movement or just a big bunch of critters pushed by someone or something from one area to another and they just happen to cross a road.
