Elk gun for wife

Old thread but I picked up a Christensen Arms traverse in 300wm. It’s loud as hell with the muzzle brake but very pleasant to shoot. I plan on having my wife shoot it. I built a 6.5 Tikka on an adjustable Boyd’s stock that I think is less comfortable

My wife loves the tika 7mm. Perfect weight.

I get a kick out of people posting “7mm” as if the 7mm Rem Mag is the only cartridge in that caliber.

I have the Browning Hells Canyon in 6.5cm. Love the recoil(about like a .243) Took a small buck and a cow elk at 252 yards a few weeks back.
Other half bought a Brownings Hells Canyon in .308 then had scope problems and ended up shooting his cow with a CVA in 6.5cm this rifle has a begara barrel on it. Shoots like a dream with the Night Force scope on it. N.F. was one we had and I began having problems seeing the bottom dot (it's a double dot). Get her what she wants it'll be her rifle.
I have a Weatherby Vangard in .270 but with a bad shoulder can no longer pack it and the recoil is a little much anymore.
