Good morning Hunt Talkers, my hunting partner and I are looking at changing directions after the zone we have previously hunted got blown out last year. We are considering the Big Desert in Idaho, and while I have grown up in Pocatello, and know the elk are there, I have always hunted the high country for them, so big learning curve for me. We have someone who is willing to show us a few spots, but in general, I'm curious if the field/juniper interfaces on the east side of the Wapi flow are the better areas to hunt, or if the tucked away south and west sides of the flow hold more elk. I'm sadly a bit clueless when it comes elk movements and patterns on desert hunts!
