Elk 2024 Pack Goat Trip

We returned the next morning to the exact spot we sat down and decided to call it. I followed blood and tracks for maybe 80 yards and he was piled up! He was stiff as a board, he had died probably while we were walking from the spot we jumped him to where we stopped, we definitely would have heard him fall from where we stopped. So relieved is an understatement!

That's what I'm talking about! Glad you decided to chase some elk with the bow again and share the journey. I'll concur your picture taking on this adventure lacked compared to other trips. Haha

My buddy brought his 2 horses, let’s just say it reaffirms I will not get horses anytime soon 😂. Between the 2 wrecks on the way in and this nasty injury coming back from watering them, I’d say horses are not in my future.

I spent a few years in the horse world in college. Those things are f***ing stupid and 99% of them should be dog food, yet everyone in the country has an irrational attraction to them.
