Mathew 19:14 springs to mind, as to the many verses in other Holy Books talking about children.

When i got home today I walked in the door, our two year old ran to meet me and talked to me about the tree and presents and the books she had read. We were chatting when I suddenly choked up thinking of those parents coming into the empty house looking at present that would never be opened.

Those poor children and those poor parents.

. Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee (R) weighed in on the massacre at an elementary school in Newtown, Conn. on Friday, saying the crime was no surprise because we have "systematically removed God" from public schools.

"We ask why there is violence in our schools, but we have systematically removed God from our schools," Huckabee said on Fox News. "Should we be so surprised that schools would become a place of carnage?"

"If this doesn't get the nation's attention about the growing problem of mental illness among the teen-age and young adult population, then I don't know what will. Besides these horrific murders being committed, there has been an alarming rise in the number of suicides among this age group. It is way past time that combating mental illness was given the same priority as combating other deadly diseases"
Now I could also add gun control laws to the list of things that should be less priority as mental illness in kids. Also the fact that so many of these kids are medicated with prozac from pill pushing shrinks.
