teej89, the dog was very interested in the birds that kept coming after we limited out and did seem to wonder why we were not shooting. There was a time or two (or three) when the shooters failed and the dog just seemed to have a look of disappointment at our ineptness. The dog was my friends and it sure was enjoyable to hunt on a day with good bird activity and a good dog doing the work. Now that the hunting was good, I've got a pile of meetings to go to again, not sure when I'll be able to get back out. Good hunting to all you 'fowlers.

There were wigeons and buffleheads that buzzed through, but just on the edge of being in range. That area also has some pintail, wood ducks, ringed necks and teal, but today was a mallard day. The first pic was taken from inside the blind. The dog made a good day into a great day.

Nice! We've got terrible weather here in va, it's been in the 60 and 70 past couple weeks. Looks like 72 on Christmas day, even if the weather turns now doesn't leave much time for some real good hunting.
