What's your dream rifle? I would post this in the firearms section but............. well anyhow. What's your dream rifle?

Probably Sako 90 Peak in .280AI. Have not handled one but having had a (somewhat disappointing) custom rifle built I am even more impressed with Sako rifles.

Edit: Soul rifle would be a Sako Finnbear in .308 or .30-06. Topped with glossy Leupold scope to match glossy barrel.

I have a buddy that I told him to buy one (.257 Model 70), mid 50's vintage as I recall. Wish I bought it, but I got a Model 94 of similar age that the seller had so I came out of the deal ok.

@shrapnel owns mine. It would be ok if it had the climbing Lyman and engraving. His is in just the condition that I would want so I wouldn't feel bad hunting with it. 50-110-450 Win.

Easy. Turnbull restoration lever gun. any caliber

That's something I wish I didn't know about. All good though. The good stuff is so far out of my price range it's not even a real temptation.

Dn't have a dream rifle but a few close calls. Win Mod 70 Featherweight in 6.5x55 will handle anythng and every thing I might hunt. also had a mod 700 in 243 rebarreled to 260 Rem that really shoots great. Whatever might be my dream rifle is gonna be a 6.5!

Man, I used to have a list of dream rifles. Now I just want to get away from my Savages and into something else.

I suppose a dream rifle for me is an M1 Garand. I’ll have one at some point, but doesn’t fall into the hunting rifle category.

The easy button is that 270 that @ismith recently acquired, if someone mentions a classic rifle that’s what pops in my head. Although I don’t want anything to do with a period correct scope, I’ll stick a Swaro Z5 on that thing without a second thought.

I’m also of the belief that the magic in a dream is in the chase. I have several that were dream guns and they have been awesome but there’s always another out there, somewhere.

I pretty much have them : Winchester Model 54 in .270 Win., Remington Model 700 BDL .300 Win Mag (built around 1964), Savage 99 in .300 Savage built in the 50’s
