Dove hunt

My son Jarrod has this 8 month old Lab and we took him out for the 1st time yesterday. I I bagged my limit 12 and Jack retrieved the 1st 10 with assistance from Jarrod by the end of the day Jack got the idea that if he see's birds flying to take off after them because they were going to drop. He was feeling pumped ! Had to leash him at that point. My last 2 birds Jack Marked and retrieved with out Jarrod assisting him.

Great day and good cook out with my son's back at home. Dove's in a blanket.

Elk, Jack is a trip. I took him one afternoon and the birds were not flying. Jack started getting pissed. Barking at planes and then barking at me. I would tell him no bird and he would look at me and then want to chase a dragonfly or take off through a been field jumping high to see where he was. He found a few birds we had shot in the beams so I quess he figured if he serched he would jump one up.
Good dog with a good nature.
