Do I need to keep buying points colorado

I have 8 points for elk and 11 for mule deer. I keep purchasing points and I am waiting to see what happens for archery draw results. Going third season otc this year. I really don’t know what to do. I have enough points to go in the unit I have been hunting. I am trying to save up for a better quality unit but with 2028 point change now I’m on edge of what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. I guess question is should I still keep accumulating or burn points I have before 2028 change? And otc for nonresident is at risk to go away. TIA Dan

My main advice is move this from the fitness/first aid forum to the elk forum . As for the points burn them and go hunting as soon as possible is always my preference.

Just forget and miss the draw deadline (like me!) and you don't pay for any points! Problem solved!

Burn them and hunt a unit you're familiar with is my vote.

Are CO points transferable? Because I haven’t bothered to build up any points and could find a way to burn those bothersome points for you.

I’m asking myself the same question with 12 deer points and 6 elk points. I suspect I’ll try to find time to burn the deer points and then be done.

I have 13 elk and 13 deer points and need to burn them soon I just have to commit to burning them and go... Its just hard to commit since we moved to Wyoming 11 years ago...

Hello to everyone.
This is my first post. In 2021 l got to hunt a doe, whitetai deer. . At
Burlington, Colorado .For the muzzlerloader season. l don't
remember , what kind of point system. was ineffect . With the help of Colorado hunting license department.
I was able to buy a hunting license. At
the first of October. Saw few deer .Wouldn't waste my point's on this area.
