Dirt/2 track road acces in MT?

Hey, can any of you Montana guys help me out with an access quandary?

I'm looking at accessing the West Gravellies and I have a question about road access as I can see them from my OnX map. If I see a 2 track or low maintenance gravel road that crosses private land and continues into state, BLM or national forest land, is it safe to assume that it's open for public transportation? Specifically, it runs across a piece of Ted Turner's property a couple of times, as if all roads don't eventually...

No, it’s not safe to assume that.

Call the local Forest Service or Blm office referencing said roads. That's your safest bet

Also contact the County road dept. and check if it is a county road.

It's not the only way in, but it's certainly the shortest.
