Hey guys,

Due to reflux, I have to wait 2 to 3 hours after eating before going to bed and it got me thinking about archery season. Coming back into camp that late in the day and eating a big meal is just not an option for me.

Anyone here with the same issue?

Ungulates are crepuscular meaning that you want to hunt until it’s dark... eat a big lunch while they are sleeping and the hunting is slow.

During archery season, you could probably have a good size meal at like 5 or 6 pm, then hunt the evening. Grab a granola bar on your way back to the truck/camp and you should be good to go.

Eat your big meal, like a Mountain House, for lunch. Then eat a lighter dinner like a bar or trail mix around 5 or 6.

This biggest hurdle there is staying awake to hunt the afternoon after a big lunch.
