I've met a couple of folks from another forum at our friends watering hole downtown. Spouse and I were in the background of a pic someone posted one time from the same watering hole.
Met up with a great guy from here, that makes great beer too, in the field moose hunting few years back.

I usually try to avoid people but on the few occasions that I have had to talk to someone, they usually turn out to be pretty nice people. I don't think any of them were hunttalkers though.

Haha, I thought the high brim flat bill WAS the old man style. I'm 46 so when I was a teenager in the 90's the style was the snug to head and you curved your bill and the high brim was for old men but everything comes back around again.

HT secret code phrase? I suggest "Pus filled rectal abssess." Difficult for non member to accidentally have that come up in a conversation.

I rarely meet anyone in the field and when I do they're usually more interested in my dogs than me. I'm fine with that. If I wanted conversation I'd go to the bar. Barmaids get paid to yack. May as well put them to work. No one expects work to be enjoyable. I go hunting to experience the outdoors. I get enough of people and civilization the rest of the year.
