Deputies Successfully Locate, Rescue Boise Man Who Snowshoed into Idaho County Backcountry Before Becoming Stuck

Imagine asking to be rescued, then trying to tell the people who are coming to save you that they're wrong. If buddy was so smart, why didn't he just walk back to his truck...

I was in this area 2 weeks ago. There probably was 5 feet of snow in some areas after 24" of snow fell in 48 hours. I bailed when I could no longer access the area I wanted to hunt. I honestly think I saw this guy cruising up the elk summit road on November 3rd before the storm that pushed me out. That vehicle had California plates on a little white crossover SUV.

Anyway. I didn't even need snowshoes on the trails. This guy seems like both an idiot and a drama king.

Also, consider this my hunt report on my unsuccessful Idaho moose hunt.
