Well finally found a few boxes (the limit) of these rounds in a .270 130gr load. Not that I was looking for them, more like a beggars can’t be choosers type deal, especially at $29.99/box. Anyways, just because “deer” is in the title, doesn’t mean that’s all they’re good for. Definitely going to try them out on antelope this next fall. Any reason they wouldn’t be able to handle an elk? My understanding is they have a “rapid expansion” tip, but as a mono, still retain most of their mass.

Anyone have any experience with these suckers?

No experience with that particular factory load, however I believe you are correct and it should do fine on other species of animals.

Elk are in the deer family, right? I wouldn't hesitate to shoot an elk with one at sane distances.
