My wifes grandpa shot this deer. 37 inside, I'm ruined for life looking at this thing each day and then seeing a "modern" montana trophy of 25 wide and a score of 165-170. Mule deer in Montana have suffered greatly the last 10 years. Sure there are a few every year that are great but the number of them is getting smaller each year.

Good luck on your up coming hunt. I'll be curious to see what size you'll be able to drum up around here.

Saw him again this morning, white around the eye on the same side of his head as the missing antler is a recovering wound this guy tangled with something and made it to see another day.

My CA Columbian Blacktail I arrowed last week. First time back to Kali since in a long time. He was an old downhill buck with missing teeth and a unique antler configuration.

Awesome whitetail for Colorado. I can't seem to find them anywhere unfortunately.

Add Colorado to the list of destinations for public land whitetails. My first ever whitetail buck and couldn't be happier!
