Just picked up 6yo "Magnir", 1 month to train him before my first rifle elk tag. Should be an adventure.

Shaggy sucker, I hope he turns out well for you! Is he your first llama?

First Llama, first elk hunt. Since the pic he has been sheered and fighting teeth removed. I've thrown the saddle on him and walked about 2 miles. No issues so far.
This Saturday morning I'm gonna try for around 4-5 miles and see what happens.

My wife got rid of my fighting teeth too.

Now I can't bite the critters back. Sad.

:D

Good luck with the training, sounds like a fun adventure!

It's a common story. I on the other hand am 43 and I have never been domesticated and I'm starting to get a little long in the tooth. The last time I fought a critter was in Athens Ga, it didn't go very well.

Cool. I want an alpaca but neither my wife, my neighbors nor my city would view that kindly.

Might be a good thing. When you get livestock, you are committing to a whole 'nuther lifestyle. In my cases, horses and ducks. But it's the horses that are deal killers.
