Dealing with a "New Guy"

I will admit I’m a pretty new member. I would read posts but never joined until recently. I ended up doing a trade for bullets with Jbotto. He did question since I was new. I was able to provide enough for him to be ok with the trade. We are both satisfied with the exchange we made.

I think it is good to give new people a chance. I agree with doing your due diligence though. It’s an unfortunate necessity today.

The most common scam on forums is the want to buy posts. Scammers go out and find a picture of whatever it is and claim to have exactly what you are looking for at a very good price and things go from there.
Agreed but he even included a hand written note in the rifle picture with my HT name and today's date.1732051127509.jpeg

aside from the photoshop everywhere the euro date format is a big hint that something is off

no way a freakin ohioan is writin a date like that

No need. I dropped the deal. Huyjen just couldn't give me the warm and fuzzies He could be legit and I'm not saying he isn't. He just didn't make me feel like it was a square deal. I did lay down some stiff guidelines but I would have complied with them had it been reversed with some of the known members here.
I reported him before when I placed an ad in the WTB section for a backpack, thought he got banned

Man that Ohio DL is jacked up! The lowercase in the first letters of his name. Also says commercial, class B, but armed forces? But the important thing here is there is an innocent man, maybe from OH out there under that OLN.
