I am amazed EG, do you not realize how seirous this is ?
What Dudya or JFK did three decades ago pails in comparision to this.
You, me, Cali or Buzz can do our best to influnce votes, we are private citizans. CBS, ABC or NBC can run stories on the Swiftys, M. Moore or who ever, chalk full of bullchit & lies, and it is part of the storie that they (the network) is just repeating (i.e. "the swiftiey said Kerry has aids" and Rather rolls his eyes).
But when the network itself vouches for the authticity of the information, they are presenting it as a "fact" as opposed to repeating what someone else said, and in this case, CBS did.
They (CBS) lied about the authenticity of these documents, and it looks very much like they did it in an attempt to sway the outcome of a presidental election.
Anyone, ANYONE, who gives a rats ass about the electorial prosess and freedom in this country should be MAD AS HELL, and want Rathers head on a stake.
This is not a liberal vs conservative issue, it has nothing to do with Bush or Kerry.
This is a fist amendmant issue, a freedom of the press issue.
If you don't think this is THAT seirous, imagian if CBS reported that building dams, and drilling for oil in Idaho would help wildlife and increse the amount of wild salmom, and they produced phony documents (and voutched for them) to prove it ? How about documents that proved that if we sold the wilderness to developers and sub divided it for yuppy homes, the air would be cleaner ?

News evadence proves that ATV riders are helping reduce erosion, and snowmobiles in Yellowstone help are improving elk wintergrounds ?
These new documents prove that throwing empty beer cans into wild rivers will help trout and cause the water to be cleaner !!!!!

Not a memory lapse Nut, I remember lots of inacuracies about WMD`s, but this is the first time i`ve seen /heard of these forged papers, thanks for the info.

Guess they shoulda stuck with Plan A. I see on the news that there are news anchors calling for Blathers firing. Is CBS going to be considered a creditalbe sourcefor reference on SI any more????
